The Rain Won't Stop Me
I walk down the road,
Ants start to scuttle on the street,
Birds start chattering and flying in load,
The road is still damp from yesterday's rain beat.
The sky is still damp from yesterday's rain beat,
The rain is mellow,
It is going to rain, how did these ants and birds know?
Was it divine premonition?
Why are they they chirping so loudly and why is their flight accelerated?
The ants' colonies have faced demolition.
But do these birds' fear their nest's takover bid?
To ration some quid?
I just gawk,
Because I cannot understand bird talk.
Their chirping resounds in my ear,
Their cry shrills the atmosphere.
The rain has become severe,
This distance i must clear,
I cannot see the frontier
Why doth so O! rain God?
With so bright your lightning rod.
Does it pleasure you to see us pained?
Are you a sadist?
Are we to make you entertained?
Only does death persist,
After all what's on your list?
I don't see the pun,
O! Holy one.
First make us run in circles for water,
Cause droughts and famines,
As we beg for water,
Grant us our wish and kill with a water spout.
Do you deserve devotees so devout?
The rain has enhanced,
Quite unannounced.
I must hurry ,
The rain cannot stop me.
Oh my mother nature!
I see these trees swaying in the wind
Are they swaying in happiness i'm not sure,
Or are they aware of arrival of Death which knows only to grind
Neither to the flora or the fauna is death kind
All must succumb to the Grim reaper,
The death keeper.
The same scythe that harvests 'em uproots 'em,
You kill your own children,
Those who inhabited your gardens from p.m. to a.m.
You're condemning them in metric tonne
Yes, yes you too have your fun.
The rain is increasing,
All i'm doing is pacing.
O Good Lord!
Why doth you piss on us?
As i faster trod,
I land into a ditch and from the road i digress,
The ditch due to man's own transgress?
I find the reason to the fall of the shelf,
He who digs a ditch for others falls into it himself .
We've polluted the environment,
Man is eternally crying,
But i see the reason for our confinement,
We're ourselves responsible for this dying.
Whatever we've been denying
Chiefly we've polluted our mind,
Gold cannot buy peace of mind.
I reach my destination,
Lacerated.
There's a peacock dancing in celebration,
It dances unfazed
There's a rainbow in the sky red,
Seeing me towards the rainbow does it fly
Hope is still there, it does imply.
I must hurry,
The rain cannot stop me .
